We warmly welcome staff from schools across both CWAC and Cheshire East regions, who are supporting children with DS, to our regular cluster networking meetings.
The purpose of these meetings are to support each other by sharing successes and resources used with others in a similar position to themselves, discussing together barriers to learning and possible outcomes, utilising the expertise of the CDSSG and looking at up-to-date resources and documents.

Introductory session on:
- what is Occupational Therapy
- how Occupational Therapy intervention can help children with developmental
delays and specific conditions like Down’s syndrome
- frequently seen fine motor, gross motor and self-care skills deficits in children
with Down Syndrome
- use of fun activities and resources to provide practical support
Those working in schools with children with Down’s syndrome wanting to gain an
understanding of Occupational Therapy and how it can be used in settings to support
children with sensory and motor skill difficulties.
